Aikido Shoryukai Australia
An affiliation of aikido dojos in Australia under the guidance of Shimamoto Katsuyuki Shihan 8th Dan of the Toyonaka Shosenji Dojo in Osaka, Japan.
The name Aikido Shoryukai Australia was approved in 2022 by Katsuyuki Shimamoto 8 Dan Shihan of Aikido Toyonaka Shosenji Dojo in Osaka to establish a federation of Australian dojos directly associated with Shihan.

2023 also sees the inception of Aikido Shoryukai Australia, our new affiliation under the Aikikai Foundation with Shimamoto Katsuyuki Shihan and the Toyonaka Shosenji Dojo. This brings some formality to our long standing relationship with Shimamoto Sensei a

It comes about after some discussion with Shimamoto Shihan late last year when he kindly granted us permission to utilise the Shoryukai name, similar to other groups in Europe and act as his representatives in Australia.
